Privacy
What this site stores, why, and how to remove it.
If you only browse
Saved recipes, your week plan and your shopping list are kept in your own browser. They are not sent to our server unless you create an account.
The site sets a session cookie so that forms work safely. It holds no personal details and expires when you have been away for two hours.
If you create an account
We store your name, your email address, a scrambled copy of your password that cannot be read back, your profile photo if you add one, and your saved recipes, week plan and shopping list. New accounts are approved by the site owner before the first sign-in.
If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google. We do not receive your Google password or anything else from your Google account.
You can delete your account, your photo and all saved data at any time from your account page.
If you join the email list
We store your email address so we can send the weekly plan. Email hello@mealprep.blog to be removed.
Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. Its cookie is only set if you choose “Allow” in the notice at the bottom of the page. If you choose “No thanks”, Google Analytics receives a basic visit signal without a cookie and without identifying you.
Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google’s servers when a page loads.
Who we share data with
We do not sell personal data. It is stored with our hosting provider, and with Google only as described above.
Affiliate links
Some links to kitchen equipment may be affiliate links. The shop you visit may set its own cookies under its own privacy policy.
